Alumni

We are family. We love watching students develop and can’t wait to see what they are capable of after high school. Here we highlight our recent MVP Alumni and graduating Seniors.

Caitlin Fearrington

Jazz, Contemporary, & Hip Hop

“I started dance in the 3rd grade when my mom signed my up for a rec ballet class. After doing only ballet for a couple years, I started training in jazz and lyrical in the 6th grade and started competing. 7th grade is when I opened up to hip hop and contemporary and freshman year I started to take dance more seriously which led me to MVP sophomore year.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
My favorite dance memory is definitely getting MVA+ at @velocitydanceconvention Nationals in 2019. I’ve made so many amazing memories being on this company for the past 2 years!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
In the near future I’m looking forward to continue dancing and creating memories with new and old friends!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Thank you to all of the teachers at MVP for helping me become the dancer I am now! I’m so grateful for all of the life long friends that I have made at the studio and the memories we’ve made together, I LOVE YOU ALL SO SO MUCH!!💞”

Murphy Khludt

Hip Hip

I took my first dance class when I was 2 and started in little kid’s ballet. Who would’ve thought! As I grew up, I realized my love for hip hop and decided to fully submerge myself into it! Ever since my first class, I have never taken a year off of dance. It will be a part of my life forever.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I have absolutely adored getting to train at MVP and dance on @rawdancecrew for the past couple of years! Thank you to MVP for welcoming me into your family and making the studio my second home.”

Mara Burroughs

Hip Hop

I’ve been dancing since I was 5! I started competing in the seventh grade and have been at MVP since my freshmen year of high school. I’ve loved every second of it:))
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
My favorite dance memory was doing the @rawdancecrew show my sophomore year. Even though it was the only one I got to do it was truly an an amazing experience that I’ll never forget!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I want to thank all my teachers, teammates, and every staff member at MVP for creating such an amazing environment to dance and grow in. Love you all!”

Alaniah Keller

Hip Hop

I’m basically an OG at MVP at this point… raised me from the ground lol. I actually went to a ballet studio for a while when I was younger believe it or not 😹. Over the past couple years I struggled to develop a sense for my personal style and my purpose when I dance, and I’m really happy that in recent months I feel like I’ve found it (and unlock more purpose every day). That happened when I tuned out all the noise about hype, trends, drama, measures of success, comparing to others, even conventions, and turned inward. Who am I? What inspires me to move, what movement do I love? From there, I’ve began to refine it.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
My favorite dance memories are wrapped up in every @rawdancecrew show. I’m so grateful to have been apart of all 3 that have happened so far – each team was so loving, fun, and inspiring. I’ve learned so much from everyone I’ve known. Those are some of my favorite memories from high school in general. 🥲
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It was really sad getting injured and missing most of my last comp season when we already lost so much from covid. So even though I’ve already grieved it in many ways, it’s so bittersweet graduating from MVP. Y’all my day 1s and will always hold a place in my heart. I can’t wait to grow even more. Thank you to every friend and every teacher and to those who are both. 💜”

Maddie Thanos

Jazz, Contemporary, & Hip Hop

I started dancing when I was 5 and came to MVP in 6th grade. My favorite dance memory has been this whole past year. I’ve always looked up to the seniors at the studio so much and I loved being in that position for the younger dancers at the studio. I also love everyone on my teams and had such an amazing last year dancing with everyone.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I’m super thankful for every MVP teacher I’ve crossed paths with and owe so much to the teachers who have trained me. I’m excited to be competing at @radixdance and @velocitydanceconvention nationals this summer and to be returning to MVP this summer and fall!”

Sam McWilliams

Jazz, Contemporary, & Hip Hop

I started dancing when I was 8 years old and I moved to MVP when I was about 13 years old.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
My favorite dance memory would have to be winning 2021 Senior Male Core Performer at @radixdance Nationals.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
What I’m looking forward to in the future is just being able to dance non-stop.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Thank you to everyone at MVP. I would not be where I am today if it weren’t for every single one of you and I’ll always be grateful for you guys. Love you all so much and I’ll miss you guys!😭”

Blake Rhodes

Jazz, Contemporary, Hip Hop, & Tap

My dance journey has been a very long 12-year process full of ups and downs and a lot of no’s and very few yes’s but one thing has stayed true, I’m truly in love with dance and how it makes me feel and that, I’ll never forget. I’m looking forward to putting myself more out into the world and experiencing different cities as I travel but most importantly dancing and listening to good music😁
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Farewell to my friends I have made at MVP and farewell to the staff that has trained me to be the human I am and I will always be grateful for you guys. I love you all❤️❤️❤️”

Olivia Martorana

Jazz, Contemporary, & Tap

I have been dancing for 15 years and have been at MVP the last 2. I started at age 3 in a tap class and quickly grew into training in all styles. As my passion for dance grew over the years I wanted to take it more seriously and get that “industry” experience and training, which led me to joining MVP. Since being here I have grown and learned more than I ever imagined!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
My favorite memories are definitely traveling to conventions and competing with my team! I have been so grateful for this year and the friendships I’ve made. I can truly say I’ve never been so happy and proud to be a part of not just a competition team but a family. I really don’t know where I would be without this place and these people. MVP has become a second home for me and I owe a lot to them for providing such an inspiring, supportive place. Thank you for the best year!”

Lily Mildenberger

Jazz, Contemporary, & Hip Hop

” I began ballet when I was 3 and then tap (😮) soon after. I first started taking dance more seriously around age 9 and began jazz, hiphop, contemporary, and pointe. It’s just always been there as a constant in my life and I love it!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
My favorite dance memory was definitely extra rehearsals with @rawdancecrew in 2020 before the pandemic. We were usually delusional/exhausted but always had fun. Also meeting @angelina_hagen.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I’m looking forward to graduating and exploring a new country and city this next year and hopefully find a French studio to train at.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Thank you MVP for helping me grow as a dancer! I will not hesitate to visit.”

Raiden King

Hip Hop

My favorite dance memories aren’t necessarily memories, but more the people I’ve met and bonded with through our mutual love for dance. BUT if I had to choose I’d say getting nominated for @monstersdance Cast lolz.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I’ve been dancing 7 years and spent the last 2 of those years with MVP and have had a BLAST. I dance because I love the community and culture. The most valuable thing I’ve learned in life is that everyone’s path in life is different and just because you don’t get something now doesn’t mean you shouldn’t stop working for it.”
